She was predeceased by: her parents, Emit May and Catherine May; her husband James K. Cortner; and her brothers, Harry May (Eva), Ray May (Margaret) and Rex May (Peggy).
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Hall (Eddie) of Shelbyville and Joyce Phillips (Michael) of Farragut; and her grandchildren, Gerri Ward, Will Hall, Dr. Jim Phillips (Julie) and Katie Swift (Tyler). She is also survived by One great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
