He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bailey and Jeanne Hedgepath Bean; and his sister Carol Bean. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Bean; his sons, Corey Nakai Bean-York (Anthony) and Paul Griffin Bean; his sister Alice Bean; and his grandchildren, Delanie Nakai York and Loxlie Elizabeth York.

Paul would be honored with memorials made to the American Cancer Society for continued research.
