Melvin Claxton touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Adcock and Virginia Elisabeth Adcock; and his siblings, Spence of Kansas, Marie Lou Shearin, Robby Adcock of Odie Adcock, J. G and Bill Haynes.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine; and his children, Melba Joyce Pragus of Austin, TX, Jeffery M. Adcock (Stella) of Murfreesboro, Steven L. Adcock of Shelbyville and Philip R. Adcock of Shelbyville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Feldhaus Memorial Chapel (2022 N Main St, Shelbyville, TN 37160). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners Hospital.
