It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Blue of Shelbyville, Tennessee, born in Dexter, Missouri, who passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melba Johnson (Weigel) and Donald Johnson; and her daughter Pamela Lynn Blue. She is survived by: her husband John Michael Blue of Shelbyville, TN; her daughter Ann Marie Haney (Blue); and her grandchildren, Justin Michael (Rebecca), Dustin Keith (Madeline), Austin Phillip Haney (Olivia Holloway), Kristin Marie Haney, Hannah Elizabeth Haney (Mahmoud Alwadi) and Ezra Paul Haney.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Lawn Cemetery. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home (739 N Main St, Shelbyville, TN 37160). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Joey Dunning Officiating and Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home.
