She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Petty and Mary Womble Petty; her husband Howard S Parsons; her sons, Doyle Holt and LaDon Parsons; and her sister Virginia Tipps.
She is survived by: her daughters, Faye Hane of Sunnyvale, CA and Gayle Wasson of Tullahoma; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Parsons of Hixson, TN; her grandchildren, Katrina Watters (Scott), Patrick Hane, Morgan Parsons, Laura Wasson, Dr. Clive Wasson (Jessica), Matthew Parsons (Kathryn), Joshua Parsons (Brooke) and Caleb Parsons (Jessica); her sister Marie Bobo of Lynchburg; and her daughter-in-law Donna Parsons of Athens, AL.. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
