She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Petty and Flora Simmons Petty; her daughter Tina Locke; and her brothers, Richard Petty and Dan Petty.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Simmons (Richard) of Shelbyville, Robert Carden (Anna) and Terry Carden (Liz) of Fredricksburg; her son-in-law Earl Locke; her grandchildren, Paris Huckaba, Kennedy Huckaba, Elya Lopez, Mercedes Lopez of Tyler Carden, T. J, Parker Carden and Piper Carden; and her great grandchildren, Easton Lopez, Nina Nguyen and Dexter Simmons.
