He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville L. Gibbs and Cardessie Mooneyham Gibbs; his former wife Becky Gibbs; and his wife Joyce Gibbs. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Gibbs, Lisa Locke (Edward), Donald Gibbs and Vicki Dye (James); his siblings, Bobby Joe Gibbs (Lena) and Gladys Stephens; his grandchildren, Kenny Vanderpool (Rique), Hunter Vanderpool, Becca Stacy (Rafael), Hannah Baldwin and Ryan Dye; and his great grandchildren, Kira Vanderpool, Jaymez Pratt, Nichole Lopez, Marie Lopez and Jonathan Lopez.
