He is survived by: his wife Mary Shapard Pitner; his children, Michael Scott Pitner and Martha Amelia Pitner Schettler; his children-in-law, Aleck Pitner and Jake Schettler; his grandchildren, Truett Allen Pitner and Nolen Elizabeth Pitner; his brother David Pitner; his siblings-in-law, Kendra Pitner, Peggy Shapard Stubblefield and Tim Stubblefield; his niece Megan Stubblefield Houck (Casey Houck); his nephews, TJ Stubblefield (Becca Stubblefield) and Joe Weston Pitner; and his aunt Lyda Zyck.
