It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Burns formerly of Shelbyville, Tennessee, born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son William Michael. He is survived by: his wife Bettye Lou Vance of Bell Buckle; his children, John Gray Burns (Lisa Cox) and Dr. Angela Kathleen Burns; his grandchildren, William and Megan Burns; and his siblings, Veronica Wauford and Leon Burns (Christie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
