She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Cook and Lilly Cook; her husband James Edward Epperson; her grandson Brad Epperson; and her sister Dorothy Warren.
She is survived by: her children, Cathey Mathis (Pat) and Rickey Epperson (Anita); her caregiver Lisa (Sherry); her grandchildren, Matthew Epperson (Haley), Nathan Epperson (Ashley), Andrew Meyers, Channel (Kenny) and Campbell; her stepgranddaughter Christina Hillis (Shannon); and her sister Erma Rollins. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and her special caregivers.
