He is survived by: his children, Christie Kelley (Bryan) of Huntsville, AL, Dawn Arias (Juan) of Smyrna, TN and James Helmholtz, Jr. of Cornersville, TN; his brothers, Allen Helmholtz (Kim) of Shelbyville, TN, Steve Helmholtz of Franklin, NH and Richard Helmholtz (Shirley) of Hill, NH; and his grandchildren, Hunter, Hannah, Christian, Antonio, Jesse, Hailey and Braelynn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
