He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Dial; his daughter Cindy Dial; and his parents, Lyman Dial and Jewel Dial. He is survived by: his daughter Lee Ann Butts (Bruce); his grandchildren, Blake Melton (Lindsay) of Murfreesboro, Logan Butts (Makenzy) of Nashville and Anna Butts (Will Davidson) of Shelbyville; his great grandchild Braden Melton; and his cousin Carolyn Reed. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
