He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Philpot and Estell Parson Philpot; his wife Nancy Jane Philpot; his daughter Tracy Leverette; his grandson Justin Leverette; and his siblings, William Philpot Jr., Kenneth Philpot and Catherine Cole.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Philpot, Kim Bingham (Bud), Devie Darlene Williams (Robert) and David Terry Hoover; and his sister Flora Lester. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
