He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Eugene and Kathleen Ruth Neeley Claxton, Sr.; and his siblings, Richard Claxton and Anita Claxton. He is survived by: his children, Dion Gordon (Christie), Tammy Vajcner (Johnny) of Shelbyville and Misty Claxton of Shelbyville; his siblings, Carl Claxton of Shelbyville, Juanita Wisdom (Beady) of Lenoir City and Mary Ann Sanders of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Ray Carter (Amanda), Cody Carter (Brandi), Lenzie Gordon, Kirstyn Meyer (Taylor), Carley Sullivan, Phillip Gordon, Hannah Ensey, Ayla Snoddy and Jessica Snoddy; his great grandchildren, Kenzie Carter, Nathan Carter, Bentley Simpson, Calliegh Simpson, Londyn Simpson, Paisley Winton and Eli Gordon; and his siblings-in-law, Albert and Connie Cook.
