He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hancock of Shelbyville; his daughter Tonya Vernon (Bryan) of Stathum, Georgia; his daughter-in-law Natalie Barber Dennis (Chad); and his grandchildren, Callie Mae Vernon, Jefferson "Jake" Ryan Vernon, Rickee Gayle Carter, Justin E. Farris and Timothy Nolan Farris.
