She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Woodard Petty Sr. and Mary Jane Moore Petty; her husband James Odell Ellis Jr.; and her brothers, Ralph "Woody" W. Petty Jr. and Malcolm Franklin Petty.
She is survived by: her sisters, JoAnn Hughes (Sam) of Murfreesboro and Sandra Bobo (late Lanny) of Shelbyville; her nieces and nephews, Natalie Sanders (Wayne), Neil Hughes (Holly), Nyles Hughes (Chrissy), Mary-Margaret Satterfield (Jeffrey), Breon Parker (Rob), Corey Petty, Crea Lynn Petty, Jamie Petty (Margaret), Jonathan and Jared Smotherman; her great-nephews, Joey Palmer Hughes, Grant Hamilton Hughes, Rhett Carrington Hughes, Woody Petty and Eli Petty; and her uncles, Johnny Moore and Roger Moore.
