She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Scales and Lorene Batton Scales; her daughter Kim Simmons; her brothers, Marvin Scales, Cecil Scales, JT Scales, Charles Scales, Leonard Scales and Elmer Scales; and her friend Ruby Driver.
She is survived by: her husband Edward Eugene Cunningham; her daughter Ora Florence Laizer (John) of Shelbyville; her son-in-law Frankie Simmons of Shelbyville; her grandchildren, Cassie Simmons (Justin) and Lexi Simmons (Jamison); and her great grandchildren, Jasper, Jeremiah, Jett, Jace, John and Jozie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home (739 N Main St, Shelbyville, TN 37160). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Doak-Howell Funeral Home to help assist the family with final expenses.
