She was predeceased by: her father Thurman Barnes; her husband R. L. West; her brothers, Beauman, W. C. and Richard Barnes; and her grandson Troy Taylor, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Robert West, Jr. (Penny) of Shelbyville, Norma Wix (Sam) of Shelbyville and Lana Taylor (Tiny) of Shelbyville; her grandchildren, Robbie West (Julie Haskins), Zack West (Shaina), Dillon West (Jacie), Josh Young (Leigh Ann) and Tiffany Young; her great grandchildren, Colin, Hudson, Fisher, Brysen, Charleigh, Evie, Maddox, Delaney, DJ, Marybeth, Wyatt and Justin; and her brothers, George Barnes (Evelyn) of White House, Freddie Barnes of Manchester and Larry Barnes (Angie) of Manchester. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
