He was predeceased by: his father Herschel McCarty; and his brother James "J. D.". He is survived by: his wife Robin McCarty; his sons, Ivan McCarty (Kasey) of Cookeville and Jesse McCarty of Sharps Chapel; his stepson Jared McCarty; his mother Anna Lou McCarty of Sharps Chapel; his sister Teresa Brooks of Tazewell; and his grandchildren, Layla McCarty, Kayden McCarty and Kennedy Ray McCarty. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
