She was predeceased by: her husband William Tharpe; and her parents, Sam Evans and Verna Tansil. She is survived by: her children, Marshall Tharpe (Barbara) and Martha Mosley; and her grandchildren, Mechelle Tharpe Perry (Darren), Monica Tharpe Horton (Marcus), Karen Mosley and Edward Mosley. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
