He is survived by: his wife Lou Coleman Place; his brother Larry Place of Perryville, IL; his children, Wade Ratliff (Mandy) of Harrisburg, IL, Wesley Ratliff of Harrisburg, IL, Brooke Brasier (Ryan) of Harrisburg, IL, Michael "Mick" Place (Hollie) of Shelbyville, KY, Gatha Place Moore of Harrisburg, IL and Christine Place; his stepchildren, Rhonda Drummond of Sharon, TN and John Paul Drummond (Darlene) of Martin, TN; his grandchildren, Breanne Wilkinson, Jade Ratliff, McKenzi Ratliff, Travis Cluck, Anthony Cluck, Karley Ratliff, Tristan Ratliff, Mason Ratliff, Laken Moore, Alexander Place, Cadde Drummond, Elisabeth Place, Juliette Place, Aaron Finney, Kayla Carrington and Brittany White; and his great grandchildren, Briar Smith, Carson Carrington, Callie Carrington and Atlas White.
