He was predeceased by: his father James Robert Thompson; his son Kevin Thompson; and his sister Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Loyce Thompson; his mother Virgie Mae Davis; his children, Mickey Thompson (Dana), Pamala Bowen (Ross) and Suzette Dennington (Paul); and his siblings, Linda Carter, Donna Hurst (Jerry), James Thompson Jr. and Donnie Thompson (Melody). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
