He was predeceased by: his parents, Festus Sims and Fannie Sims (Taylor); his brother Wayne Sims; and his son Larry Sims. He is survived by: his spouse Winnie Poynter Sims; his son David Sims (Donna); his grandchildren, Samuel Sims, Bonnie Roberts (David) of Sharon, Sandra Vallee (Phillip), Bobby Sims, Lea Ann Crowe (Phil) of Martin, TN and Amy Frankum of Union City, TN.; and his son Trucking. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
