He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shaffer and Mary Shaffer (Maguire); and his siblings, Charles Shaffer and MaryAnn Paulson (Shaffer). He is survived by: his children, Lisa Brody (Wayne), Cathleen Borrelli, John Shaffer Jr. (Natasha) and Amanda Stanley (Jonathan); and his grandchildren, Chase Brody, Charlotte Brody, Asher Brody, Carmen Borrelli, Hunter Stanley and McKinna Stanley.
