He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eddie Winters and Thelma Winters; his wife Patty Winters; his children, Wendy Winters (Michael Worley), Chrysta Justiss (Kody), Emily Winters and James Winters (Kaitlyn); his siblings, Sherry Farmer (Hubert), Lisa Perkins (Waco) and Otis Winters (Debra); his grandchildren, Jaylen Hicks, Riley Justiss, Parker Justiss and Amelia Winters; his nieces, Kim Woodall (Nicholas), April Farmer and Kayle Winters; his nephew Richard Winters; and his great-niece Brooklyn Woodell. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren, daughter in law and sons in law, who had become like his own children.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain City Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
