He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Burkey and Mary Burkey; and his brother Buster Burkey. He is survived by: his daughter Nicole Burkey; his grandson Corbin Wright of Ohio; his siblings, Ferinda Steely of Shady Valley, Dorothy Harris and Wilbur Burkey of Shady Valley; his close friend Rick Harris; and also, Natasha Blake, Gene Burkey, Buster Harris and Rebecca Harris.
