He was predeceased by: his parents, George Rollins and Alma Thomas Rollins; his wife Beverly Rollins; his siblings, Roy, Tommy Rollins, Thelma Fann, Sandra Cantrell and Sandy King; and his brothers-in-law, Houston King, Joseph Bennett Jr., Duckie Garner, Wayne Gipson, Greg Lemons and George Layne.

He is survived by: his sons, Melvin Rollins (Karen) and Tommy Rollins; his siblings, Robert Rollins (Judy), Jimmy Rollins, Barbara Dykes (Larry), Nina Layne, Brenda Murray, Julia Champion (Jack), Frances Bennett, Cheryl Wilkinson, Jan Haney (David) and Caroline Bennett; his grandson Charlie Rollins; and his close friend Jackie Ladd Sr.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
