He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Spoerr and Marion Spoerr (Kessler); his stepmother Helen Spoerr (Leber); and his former wife Patricia Ann Spoerr. He is survived by: his wife Sindy Ahlgard Spoerr; his children, Cynthia Spoerr, Catherine Yardley and Richard Spoerr; his stepchildren, Steven Penna, Michele Barth and John Penna; and his aunt Lucille Grimmer. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, if desired, may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
