It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Margaret Lines of Sewanee, Tennessee, born in Dunkirk, New York, who passed away at the age of 99, on March 12, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary MacLeod and Joseph Nelson van Buren; her husband Stiles Bailey Lines; her daughter Mary Lines Cummings; and her sisters, Judith van Buren and Mary van Buren Davis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Meg Thrash (Tom) of Atlanta, Big Canoe and Sally Starr (Bryan) of Atlanta; her son-in-law Greer Cummings of Nashville; and her grandchildren, Jody Cummings (Mary Britton), Molly Cummings Knox (Reid), Drew Thrash, Maggie Thrash (Nicholas Carver), Bryan Starr, Jr. (Nancy), Randy Starr and Cooper Starr. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is being planned in Sewanee on June 2nd (COVID restrictions permitting).
