He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Edward Thomas and Betty Jean Norwood Thomas; his daughter Misty Lynn Thomas; and his brothers, Jerry Wayne Thomas and Raymond Edward Thomas.

He is survived by: his wife Lynn Thomas; his children, Jeffrey Lee Shrum, Johnthan Trevor Meeks and Anissa Thomas Sylvis; his grandson Craig Lewis Sartain; and his great grandchild Briar Lee Sartain.
