He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus E. Green and Sallie Elizabeth Green (Jacobs); his wife Phenie Green; his son Ray Green; his grandson Philip Green; and his siblings, Martha Gilliam, Sarah McGregor and James Green.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Johnson of Sewanee, Ransom Green (Margie) of Cowan, Ricky Green of Sewanee and Randall Green (Kathy) of Monteagle; his grandchildren, Josh Johnson (Crystal), Eric Johnson, Ashley Sells (Rusty), Kelley Guess (Scott), Cody Green, Brandi Matthews (Brandon), Cynthia Green (Derrick), Melissa Green, Travis Green, Karen Green, Jason Green, Kaylia Green and Jessie Green; and his siblings, Junior Green (Bonnie), Joe Green (Donna) of Sewanee, Susie Kilgore (Sam) of Monteagle, Barbara Byers of Pelham, Mary Green of Sewanee and Kathy Owensby of Sewanee. He is also survived by twenty-six great-grandchildren.
