George Shuford Ramseur Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 24, 2024, at the age of 97, George Shuford Ramseur Sr. of Sewanee, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Ramseur; his brothers, Bill Ramseur and Walter Ramseur; and his son-in-law Paul Cahoon. He is survived by: his children, George Ramseur, Jr. (Cynthia), Suzanne Cahoon and Kathryn Ramseur (Michael Riley); his siblings, Henry Ramseur (Penina) and Nancy McMurray (Birch); and his grandchildren, Gilbert Ramseur (Bethany), Allie Cahoon and Carolyn Ramseur (Cory Battey). He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren, and eight nephews and nieces.
