She was predeceased by: her husband Marshall Brookman; her parents, Walter Kilgore and Katie Kilgore; and her siblings, Farris Kilgore, Lucille Hall, Joe Kilgore, Mabel Garrett, Betty Speegle, Joyce Atchley, Walter Edward Kilgore and Orin Winford Kilgore.
She is survived by: her daughter Erma Layne; her grandson Marshall Layne of Jasper; and her sister Nellie Tabor of Ohio. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Brookman was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tracy City, TN, and attended regularly until the Pandemic.
