We are sad to announce that on August 22, 2023, at the age of 82, David Bowman of Sewanee, Tennessee, born in Memphis, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Susan "Sue" Bowman and Alfred "Al" Bowman; and his brother Phillip "Pete" Bowman. He is survived by: his close friend Lee Stapleton of Sewanee; his sons, Nelson Bowman of New Orleans, LA and Shaw Bowman of Santa Fe, NM; his grandchildren, Ollie Bowman, Sam Bowman, Lilla Bowman, Phoebe Bowman, Pip Hanson-Kagle and Leaf Hanson-Kagle; and his former wife Eleanor Bowman of New Orleans.
