She was predeceased by: her parents, May Ruth Young and Marley Wayne Scott; and her granddaughter Hannah Hart. She is survived by: her husband Larry J. Cotten; her daughters, Cindy Hart (Len) and Melanie McCreary (Rob); her grandchildren, Marley Hart Andrews, Michael Hart, Caleb, Josh and Anna Grace McCreary; her great grandchildren, Zollie and Grayson Andrews; and her nephew Jeff Brister.
