She is survived by: her sons, Robert McCarter, Ivan McCarter and Sam McCarter; and her siblings, Joyce Powell, Laura Fritts and Pierce. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
