She was predeceased by: her parents, Asa Sparks and Amy Sparks (Rex Andes); her siblings, Leon, Luke Sparks and Lennis Walvoort (George); her grandson Jacy Jackson; and her brother-in-law Benny McCarter.

She is survived by: her siblings, Lucille Britton (Bob), LaVerne McCarter, Lois Kaye Russell (Charles), Linda Denton (Mike), Leland Sparks (Edna), Leslie Sparks (Annie Sue), Larry Sparks (Katie) and Lamon Sparks (Gail); her children, Samantha Owens (Charlie), Amy Andes, Carrie Halcott (Harvey), Lisa Andes, Keith Andes, James Andes (Felicia) and Carmen Lindsay (Dennis); and her friend Gene Frye. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
