It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne Bernard of Sevierville, Tennessee, born in Skokie, Illinois, who passed away on October 25, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Fred. She is survived by: her children, Sheilah Kopelman (Rick), Norah Nelson (James), Michael Bernard (Isabel), Marciah Boerema (Robert), Rondah Curtin (Charles), Patrick Bernard (Pamela) and Mack Bernard (Cara).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in LaVerne's name to Classic Design Aviaries, Inc. (2606 B. Wilson Rd., Commerce GA 30529) to help maintain the aviary that she cared for and loved at Brookdale.
