He is survived by: his wife Janice Brooks Compton; his daughter Regina Dove (Danny); his grandchildren, Natalie Burke (Jason) and Danny Dove; his great grandchildren, Genesis Leonard and Zion Wood; his siblings, Robert Compton (Joanne), Emdon Woodrow Compton, Jr., Shirley Milgrim (George) and Darlene Teague (Michael); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Annis Halloway and Janet Meril Might. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
