The passing of Douglas Brent Dacus of Sevierville, Tennessee leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 49. He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Jane Dacus; his cousin Shaun Mauk; and his grandparents, Aubrey, Jean Dacus, Herbert and Sue Mayes.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca VanPetten, Devon Cherry, Destiny Ramsey and Christopher Dacus; his father A. D. Dacus; his siblings, Rachel Hughes and Richard Dacus (Sara); his aunts, Millie Mauk and Judy Franklin (Phil); his uncle Buddy Mayes; the mother of his children Hope Ramsey; and his father-in-law Sonny Ramsey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Broadway Baptist Church (815 N Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37917).
