He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Mansfield and Bertice Mansfield; his brother Richard Doyle Mansfield; and his sister-in-law Billie Jean Mansfield. He is survived by: his wife Elisabeth; his son Donald "Don" Mansfield, Jr.; his sister-in-law Linda McCormick; and his nephew Mike Mansfield (Bertlyn). He is also survived by grand-nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, First Baptist Church TV Ministry, and Samaritan's Purse.
