He is survived by: his wife Tina Cotter Bales; his children, Joshua Bales (Stacey Summerson) and Kelsey Bales (Alex Sena); his mother Rosa Lee Bales; his grandchildren, Mallory Leach, Tanner Bales, Kaylynn Bales, Jace Bales, Jacob Kearney, Austin McMahan and Danielle Kearney; his sister Kim Hodges (Frank); his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Davis, Ann Haynes and Jeannie Cutshall (Denny); and his nieces and nephews, Karie Hall (Chris), Nicholas Hodges (Katie), Stacy Cotter, Sherry Martin (John), Christie Davis and Matt Long.
