It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Connie Ray of Sevierville, Tennessee, born in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on June 25, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Elijah McCarter and Katherine McCarter; her brother Gary McCarter; her former husband Robert Joe West; and her niece JoAnn Mayton.

She is survived by: her daughters, Dorothy Ervin of Rocky Top, Brenda Kowalski of New River and Ollie Aslinger of Sevierville; her son-in-law Jason Aslinger of Sevierville; her sisters, Marilyn Stanley (David), Ruth Mary, Betty Russell, Julie Sizemore (Michael), Esther Owenby (Herman) and Angie Thacker (Brian); her grandchildren, Sabrina, Thomas, Breann, Lukus Aslinger, Dalton Kowalski, Sierra Wilson, Emma Vowel, Trevor Clark and Austin Ervin; her great grandchildren, Itzayana, Alethea and Benjamin Leo; and her close friends, Nella Reynolds, Bea Gouge, Cathy Russell, Mary Russell, Donna West, Janie West, Maria Lively and Richard.
