She was predeceased by: her grandfather Roger Smith; and her great-grandparent Clifford Vardaman. She is survived by: her husband Robert Byrd; her mother Lesley McMichael (Billy); her brothers, Alex Carpenter and Coy Carpenter; her grandmother Mary Smith; and her great-grandparent Earline Vardaman.
