He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wendt and Ethel Wendt (Hertzberg); his wife MaryAnn (Schroeder); his brother Wallace; and his siblings-in-law, Walter Mattner, Ray, Rolland Schroeder, Evelyn Schroeder (Michaelis) and Louella Wendt (Domke).

He is survived by: his daughter Kathy; his siblings, Delbert (Sandy) and Sandy Mattner; and his sister-in-law Melda Schroeder. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
