He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Elliott and Maude Green Elliott; and his siblings, George Elliott, Jr., Major Randal Elliott, Dorothy Elliott Worthington, Myrtle Elliott Waters, Maxine Elliott McCain and Rachel Elliott Autry.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Keener Elliott; his daughters, Jan Upton (Fred), Sherri Elliott (Bill Moss) and Diana Jost (Richard); his grandchildren, Brandi Gonzalez (Eric), Heather Ryan (Michal), Mary Margaret Jost and Elliott Grace Jost; and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Shannon Johnson, Mikey Ryan and Justin Gonzalez.
