He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Higginbottom and Vio Tull Higginbottom. He is survived by: his children, Patricia McCullar (Jacky) of Selmer, TN, Cathy Higginbottom of Selmer, TN, Linda Higginbottom (Randy McEoin) of Riverside, CA and Gary Higginbottom (Gina Hamm) of Selmer, TN; his grandchildren, Jay Johnson (Amanda), Trisha Hurst (Brian), Nathan Locke, Duane Commiato, Randi Willis, Stephen McCullar, Michael McCullar and Matthew McCullar; his great grandchildren, Kaylee Hurst, Hazel Locke, Dax Commiato and Ethan Commiato; and his sister Jo Doris Phillips of Cedar Park, TX. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Memorials may be made to a veteran's organization of the donor's choice or the Fourth Street church of Christ.
