She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Burks and Omie Gray Burks Lipford; her spouse Uthel Dee Ashe; her daughter Carolyn Jean Ainsworth; her siblings, Francis Gray, Tom Burks, Wilford Lipford, Herb Burks, Jimmy Lipford and Ruth Lipford Barber; and her sister-in-law Evelyne Sanders.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Hammons of Stantonville, TN, Sherry Eno (Buddy) of Cordova, TN and Stanley Ashe (Jeanie) of Killen, AL; her grandchildren, Jonathan Hammons, Ashley Ainsworth, Rachel Brinkmeyer, Brooke Hammons, Andrew Ainsworth and Jordan Ashe; and her sister Margaret Marecle (Rickey) of Corinth, MS. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren;3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at the Union Grove Community Cemetery (85 Pleasant Site Rd, Selmer, TN 38375).
