She was predeceased by: her parents, James Calvin and Edith Mae Jones Gardner; her grandmothers, Dee Ray, Ora Mae Littlejohn and Ottie Tanner; and her brother James Orville Gardner.

She is survived by: her son Dr. Harvey Gardner (Paula) of Memphis, TN; and her grandsons, Dr. Jay Gardner (Tonia Gardner) of Memphis, TN, Jason Chambers (Amy) of Marietta, GA, Neal Chambers (Jeanette) of Roseville, CA and Scott Chambers (Wendy) of Bartlett, TN.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
