He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamar Seldon and Dorotha Marie Horner Doss; his wife Betty Jane Basinger; his daughter Melinda Leigh Doss; his sister Mary Jane Kinney (Doss); his brothers-in-law, Billy Basinger and James R. Dunaway; and his nephew Matt Hill.
He is survived by: his brothers, Larry Doss (Deborah) and Jimmie Doss (Patricia); and his nieces and nephews, Bill Kinney (Jennifer), Rob Kinney (Laura), Jimmie Doss, II, Reid Hill (Katy), Brittany Cross (David), Alysun Bingham (John) and Carolyn Hill (David). He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Selmer First Baptist Church Building Fund.
